Born in Shiraz, Iran in 1957, Kamy studied art formally for many years, including earning a Master of Fine Art degree at Pahlavy University, apprenticing at the Dariush Academy, and studying with the Metier Guild. Kamy came to the United States in 1979 where he quickly developed his unique and original techniques combining ink, acrylic and oils and even patenting his own printing techniques.

While his paintings are renowned for their bold shapes and colors and elegant lines, Kamy is now branching out into the medium of sculpture and three-dimensional art. He has also rediscovered his first artistic passion, photography.

In addition to the remarkable work he does at his atelier, Graphique Du Jour studios, Kamy also teaches art at George State and the Atlanta College of Art.
