Gustavo Valenzuela Donoso was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1974. From his early childhood,
he was characterized as having boundless energy, and fortunately found a language
of communication through art in which to express himself. At the age of 18, he met
his master, Ricardo Ramirez, founder of Arte Real International Painting School,
with whom he started studying. While attending the art school, Gustavo was exposed
to Ramirez' philosophy of composition, color and rhythm called "structural drawing
and compositional sketching" that was established in France, and used by the pre-
Gustavo also studied at In Sek International University, attending a program of Restoration and Art History from 1993 to 1996. In 1999, Gustavo went to the Chilean city of La Serena to help establish the first branch of Arte Real. He began teaching art employing the philosophy learned from his master and in fact became director of the branch.
In 2002, Gustavo worked on a restoration project for a series of sculptures by the famous Chilean artist Virginio Arias. After that assignment, he was asked to restore the rest of the monuments existing in the city.
After traveling to Israel in 2003 to establish contacts and relations for exhibitions, Gustavo decided to settle there. In 2004, he began teaching Israeli students the techniques he learned through the years studying at Arte Real beside his master.
